A Car Can Change a Life

Thanks to our car donation program* supported by you, Nadia, a single mom, raising her 4 daughters did not have a vehicle or a job.  She attended a New Hope Career Fair and was hired on the spot! We were able to provide a donated vehicle to her so she could get to her job and daughters’ appointments. What a blessing! Your support changes lives like Nadia’s and her family. Thank you!

A Car Can Make or Break a Situation!

On March 3, 2021, an employee of AAA Central Penn participated in Leadership Harrisburg Area‘s Community Leadership Series and heard New Hope’s executive director, Eric Saunders, talking about its programs (including our car donation program) during the session. This prompted a conversation with the AAA employee to suggest that one of their company vehicles be donated to New Hope, and it was!  Meet Kacy!  She was gifted a 2008 Honda CR-V thanks to the wonderful community partnerships we have with Zimmerman’s Automotive, Leadership Harrisburg Area, and AAA Central Penn!  Kacy’s life has been changed in her journey, and she will now be able to get to important medical appointments and to New Hope for food.

If you would like to donate a car, please call Michelle at (717) 432-2087 x211.

***If you are in need of a vehicle, or need help, please call the Center you  live closest to.

Thanks to everyone in the community who supports our work of helping people get back on their feet – you really do make a difference!

New Hope is thankful for the donations and support it receives from an array of individuals, churches, businesses and organizations. We work hard to be good stewards of the resources given to us by the community. In fact, 92% of all donations received go directly to guests through various programs. You can review New Hope’s profile on both GuideStar and Charity Navigator. We are a proud four star rated organization through Charity Navigator. In its fundraising activities, New Hope adheres to the Donor Bill of Rights and the AFP Code of Ethical Standards.
