On Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 12:30pm via Zoom, New Hope Ministries (NHM) held a public meeting hearing for its planned submission of an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for a $250,000 regional Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) to support NHM’s homelessness prevention efforts in Adams, Cumberland, and York Counties. Last year, NHM applied for a similar grant and was awarded a $125,000 regional ESG. This year, NHM is applying for a $250,000 regional ESG for homelessness prevention activities including rental assistance, financial assistance, and program services. ESG is a matching grant program. NHM has diverse funding streams to help meet the dollar-for-dollar ESG match requirement, and to help families outside of the ESG parameters with housing needs. NHM partners in the community with other organizations to help meet the needs of those struggling with housing.

The public comment period for NHM’s regional ESG application ends on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 3:00pm.
