I recently read the scripture passage to the right, as Paul collects support to help God’s people in need. I was struck by how God’s people are still helping care for people in need. As we support those in our community who are experiencing hunger, poverty, homelessness and hopelessness, we take joy in the fact that these are people God loves and wants to bless.
And that lives are being changed.
This is an exciting time for our work at New Hope! We’re helping folks get training and find jobs that will support their needs, just like this recent graduating class of medical field students. We’re supporting kids and families through our educational and training programs. Our housing programs are helping hundreds of families avoid eviction and homelessness. And our food programs are making sure kids and families don’t have to be hungry.
Several times each year, we come to our faithful supporters for help caring for our neighbors in need. Will you prayerfully and willingly consider making a compassionate gift today to support all the ways New Hope is supplying what people in our community need?
When we offer a helping hand and the hope of knowing there are people who care, we experience God’s love for us as well. He takes our gifts, concerns, and prayers, and uses them to change lives. We can’t do it all, but all of us can give something and know we are part of God’s plan.
We are grateful for your generosity and support, and hope God is meeting your needs!
