Meet Yvette. She first visited New Hope Ministries in 2020 at one of our Mobile Food Pantry sites. She had lost her full-time job because of the COVID-19 pandemic and was looking for help to make ends meet. Although she found a temp job to pay her bills, she still needed food for her family. Not long after she began visiting our food pantry, Yvette’s car started having trouble resulting in costly repairs. This added another layer of financial and emotional burden to her plate, and caused her to worry about how she was going to get to work and keep her job. Knowing all this, our staff jumped into action and recommended that Yvette receive a recently-donated car to help with transportation. Yvette was over the moon!
A few weeks ago, we caught-up with her as she loaded her groceries into her car and she was smiling ear-to-ear, joyful at the blessings that have been poured over her. She endlessly thanks our volunteers and staff for their special care and prayers, and looks forward to the day when she can pay it forward. You are the reason why Yvette can depend upon New Hope Ministries during a time of need. She is one of 4,747 people from 1,544 families over the past twelve months who walked through the doors at New Hope for the very first time.
Will you please consider helping people like Yvette with a generous and charitable donation? Your gift today will ensure that New Hope remains open and serving our neighbors in need as we have since the very beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic.
