In 1 Corinthians 15 in verse 58, the apostle Paul exhorts believers and says, “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” This Easter, we at New Hope celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, knowing that He will one day come again and put to right all wrongs, bring about an end of suffering, and raise us to live with Him in glory. Until that day, we follow His example of laboring to care for those who need our help and need to hear this good news.
While we wait for Him, we care for those who are hungry, those who carry heavy burdens, those who are homeless, and those who need to know that someone cares. What a privilege we have to share help and hope with our neighbors!
Because of your kindness and generosity, a mom with young kids can have fresh milk for her children. A family who’s lost a job can get help with rent. A struggling worker can get training to get a better job and provide for their family. Just read what Rosalys, one of our recent Nurse Aide students, shared with us:
New Hope has not just helped with my nurse aide class, but has helped with food, a coat for my son, an ear to listen, a prayer, and just support every way around. Thank you for all you have done. Thank you for being an amazing family.
Your joyful support gives hope to families feeling helpless and hopeless – you are a blessing in their lives! With renewed hope and great thanks,
