Greetings dear friends!
I hope you and yours are faring well during this shutdown and that you are enjoying good health and God’s favor. Someone asked me how I was doing yesterday and I acknowledged facing a lot of worry. I’m worried for my staff and volunteers, for finances, for our communities, for my family and loved ones. This person’s response was to encourage me to put the same energy I’ve been putting into worrying into praying. This was a well timed word of encouragement. I’ve been meditating on 1 John 4 today, and finding so much to encourage me. I’m especially struck by verse 16 which says, “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” I pray for you to live in God right now and for Him to live in you. We need His love and to love one another. It’s been so encouraging to see the love shown every day at New Hope and to hear how we are making a difference for our neighbors. Thank you all for making this mission possible.
Yours in Christ,
