You can give through your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to help feed the hungry and give stability to families today and tomorrow. It’s often called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

IRS regulations require individuals with qualified retirement accounts to begin taking minimum withdrawls from their account once they turn 72. If you need to take your RMD and would like to avoid additional taxes, consider gifting your distribution as a QCD to New Hope Ministries. You can also name New Hope as a beneficiary of your IRA.

New for 2023 … Secure 2.0 Act offers a special one-time qualified charitable distribution (QCD) to a CGA! Beginning in 2023, people who are age 70 1/2 and older may elect (as part of their QCD) a one-time gift up to $50,000, adjusted annually for inflation, to a CGA. This amount counts toward the annual required minimum distribution (RMD), if applicable.
