BACK TO SCHOOL DAZE CRAZE EVENTS:

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 10am – 2pm West Shore Center, 701 Bosler Avenue, Lemoyne  (Deadline for collection of items: July 26, 2021)

Tuesday, August 10, 2021 10am – 2pm Littlestown Center, 1113 Frederick Pike, Littlestown

Thursday, August 12, 2021 10am – 3pm Hanover Center, 135 Baltimore Street, Hanover

Tuesday, August 17, 2021 (time to be determined) Location: Cross Keys Fellowship Community Park, 785 Berlin Rd, New Oxford.

Friday, August 13, 2021 11-2:30pm Dillsburg Center. It will be a carnival theme with possible dunk tank, other “carnival” type games, face painting & temporary tattoos, and a magician/animal balloons. We’d love to serve hot dogs, popsicles, chips, popcorn machine and cotton candy.
In addition to School Supplies, Food Donations needed:
-Hot Dogs
-Hot Dog Buns
-Boxes of individually bagged chips/snacks
-Popsicles
-Popcorn Kernels for a popcorn machine
-Cotton Candy floss sugar for the machine (1 pack of 5 flavors)
-Cotton Candy sticks (100 sticks)

We are seeking donations of various back to school items for the children we serve.  Please make your donation to the Center directly during normal business hours.

Our youth programs provide assistance with homework, life skills, recreation, educational activities, and community service activities while promoting positive behavior and values.

Baby Bundles layette program

Diapers and Donuts fellowship/information/referral session

Reading Corners program, which is a co-branded United Way initiative, to offer age and developmentally appropriate books to families using our food pantries and assistance centers, and add the components of instructing families on the importance of reading and having in-center volunteers to read to children who visit our agency and match them with books

PETALS – Preschool Prep program offering parents resources and guidance for teaching their children needed skills to be ready to enter school

Weekly Kids Club format of developmental activity, life skills, character building, positive adult role models, and social skills development (Evening sessions)

Teen Job Readiness and Employment Program in partnership with local high schools

Dual Enrollment Scholarships for low-income high school students to obtain college credits while in high school!  Click here for all details! 

Early childhood education scholarships to high quality Pre-K programs for low income kids

Back Pack supplemental nutrition program in partnership with local school districts where easy to prepare and nutritious food is given to low-income children at the end of each week when school meals are unavailable

Summer Youth Program – Two days a week, children are provided a day filled with fun summer activities including swimming, field trips with include Bible lessons, team building skills.
