SMS Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 4, 2026

These terms apply to the New Hope Ministries Inc. ("New Hope," "we," "us," or "our") website at nhm-pa.org and the service-related SMS program described below. Website access does not constitute consent to receive texts. These terms do not replace program-specific eligibility requirements or determine whether you qualify for assistance.

1. Website use

Use this website lawfully and responsibly. Do not submit fraudulent information, upload malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website operations, or infringe the rights of others. We may restrict website access to address misuse, security concerns, or violations of these terms. You may contact us by telephone if you need assistance accessing information.

2. SMS program: Guest Services and Program Updates

Messages you may receive

New Hope Ministries provides service-related texts about assistance inquiries, appointments, food pickups, enrollment, program participation, and service coordination. Subscribers to program announcements may also receive informational notices about assistance availability, pantry schedules, center closures, and service changes. Assistance areas include food, basic needs, housing, transportation, youth programs, and workforce development.

How you enroll

You may enroll in recurring service texts by actively selecting the separate, optional SMS consent choice on our online signup form or signed paper/intake form. Consent applies to the program and preferences disclosed when you enroll. Merely providing a number, visiting this website, receiving assistance, or making a donation does not enroll you.

If you initiate a text conversation, we may respond about your inquiry. Starting that conversation does not automatically enroll you in recurring program announcements. Those notifications require a separate opt-in. By enrolling, you confirm that you are authorized to receive messages at the mobile number provided. Please tell us if that number changes or is reassigned.

Optional participation and fundraising

SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving assistance, participating in services, or making a donation. This service-texting program does not solicit charitable donations. Service-texting consent does not enroll you in fundraising messages. Any future fundraising text program will have separate enrollment disclosures and consent.

Frequency and costs

Message frequency varies based on your inquiries, appointments, participation, and selected announcements. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Contact your wireless provider with questions about charges.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to a message to unsubscribe. You may also request that texts stop by calling 717-432-2087, emailing , or otherwise clearly telling us that you wish to stop. We honor clear opt-out requests, including standard unsubscribe replies such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPT OUT. We may send one confirmation of your unsubscribe request; no further program texts will follow unless you opt in again. Opting out does not affect eligibility for assistance.

Help and delivery

Reply HELP for help, call 717-432-2087, email , or visit nhm-pa.org/contact/. Delivery depends on your mobile service and other network conditions and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS is not an emergency service. Call 911 for an emergency.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes information collection, use, retention, and sharing, including protection of mobile information and SMS consent against third-party marketing use. Please review it before enrolling. Do not send Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or sensitive records by ordinary text; contact us for an appropriate submission method.
